Alice in Wonderland (or Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland as it was originally known) is an English children’s story written in 1865 by Lewis Carroll. It tells the story of a young girl called Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world. The story follows Alice’s adventures as she makes new friends and meets some fascinating characters – from the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat to the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the Mock Turtle.
